Well, that was some session of racing! An optimistic start with B rigs soon became…
Bury Lake at its best. Pretty much. Nice sunny day (brief shower) and warm enough to start removing some layers. A down the lake wind of lower end B strength. And 11 skippers.
A 6/7 start, 2, 1, 7, 2, 1, 7, blues finish course was possible, with a A/5 and 5 variation for the last two races as time was getting short. The wind was a little fickle close to buouy1 but not too bad like some other days.
John H was top today but there were wins for Dick, Phil and Oliver to keep the racing close and competitive.
Next few sailing days look to have a good westerly breeze, so hopefully some more fine sailing to come.
I am away next 2 Fridays, so we will need a deputy chief assistant race officer to step forward.
