Another unpromising start to the racing today…. and it didn’t get a great deal better!…
A great day’s sailing was had by the seven members who turned up at the lake, the wind was strong and straight down the lake. Keith Allen and John Carter turned up with A rigs the rest with B rigs. The course was A-C start 3 – 2 – 8 – 3 – 2 – 8 finish A-C.
After the first race Keith changed down to B suit but John had to continue with A as he did not have his B suit with him. The conditions took their toll on the boats, John Carter had a rig failure race 4 and John Horsfield had a rudder failure in race 5. The rest had close racing with positions changing often.
It’s a pity that there were not more members there to enjoy the day.
