Four members came down but spent the first 20 minutes sheltering in cars in the car park as the heavens opened. After that, the rest of the racing was dry with a strong westerly wind. The four slippers were joined by John Rance, John Male, John Carter and Roy Gilbert, none of whom brought their boats. All decided to try A rigs to begin with but after the third race the had become too strong for A rigs so all changed to B rigs for the next three races. The course was A-5 start, 3,2,7,3,2,7 finish blues. It was a great morning’s sailing.
