Bury Lake at its best. Pretty much. Nice sunny day (brief shower) and warm enough…
Still muddy, still winter – but a bit of blue sky and the days are getting longer again. Shame about the weed though.
11 skippers had a mixed day – a couple of late arrivals; a reverse rudder on Phil’s new boat – but even more competition now; weed; good sail setting , bad sail setting and much improved sail setting and a couple of sailings backwards across the start and finish line.
A middish wind down the lake gave us (yet again) a 7/8,3,2,8,3,2,8, blues finish and we opted for a one-off to give us 9 races and early finish.
6 different race winners today, including Trevor and Phil on his maiden outing. Well done. Richard was most consistent and best today.
On an entirely trivial note – 31 got 31 and 22 got 22.
