By Briefing time the rather unpromising weather (cold, damp, little wind) and turned for the better. 10 skippers gradually removed layers as the sun came out and the wind, though gusty, was not too bad.

A course of A / B, 3,2, 6 (and sometimes Outer white), twice round and finish blues gave plenty of opportunity for place changing, spills, bumps (and shouts!) and in shore/of shore decisions to be made.

Toms rescue launch proved invaluable after a (too) close an encounter with the third kind (I.e. keel wrapped around buoy 3).

J’s on Tuesday – with buoy rearranging if weather is ok, and IOM’s again next Sunday.
