What a day! What a wind! An early visit to the lake indicated “Top Rig” but twenty minutes later a few steps beyond the bridge convinced everyone to “about turn” and return for B and C suits. The first race started with 7 boats and finished with just 5 and at times the scene was more reminiscent of the remains of the Spanish Armada but at least we all got back to shore.
By race 3 skippers had sorted their boats with a mixture of B, C1 and C2 suits. Racing was fast and furious with the ability to tack being the key element for success. Overall the C suit was dominant with John M doing particularly well.
Nice to see Oliver at the lake. Can we convince him to get a Marblehead?
