Another challenging days racing: wind light to very gusty, but mostly from the west; and…
Pheweeeee! That was a windy one. Even the coffee cups had breaking waves on them!
6 skippers thought it was worth coming down to the lake: Brian didn’t have a C suit so didn’t even try sailing. Keith started race one and retired with a ripped sail………
The remaining 4 skippers thrashed (bumped, flailed, splashed) around a long (but very quick) course for 6 races before calling it a day. It wasnt always very windy – sometime in the lulls, the C suits simply didn’t give enough power drive the boats through the waves. At other times it was just very, very windy – standing on the bank was challenging.
However, Dick seemed serene, winning 5 of the races quite comfortably.
Of course, back in the car park, the puddles were ripple free!
