Good to back sailing again. Especially on a very pleasant day – not too hot, goodish wind down the lake and a good fleet of J class yachts looking good on the water.

7 Skippers managed 8 races on a course of 7/6 start, 4,3,6, blues finish – and the usual selection of coffee breaks ( although coffee? On a hot day?)

John was serene as usual with this class – what is it that makes JM and #79 so fast? We will probably never know – but that’s the magic of sailing.

My friend Charles will be here tomorrow – with his very fine replica Folkboat – properly to scale, clinker hull etc. (See JCLassHulls Alan Horne website for more info)

It sails beautifully
