Just four RM skippers arrived at the lake but Dick Grainge lost control soon after…
Challenging conditions with a SSW wind coming over the trees and never settling in any one direction.
John M arrived with his “B” suit having made the mistake of looking at the weather forecast. He did have some success, however, with a couple of wins in the final two races when the wind eventually strengthened.
John Rance’s boat was going well until his jib kept jamming and things got worse when the knot holding the jib halyard gave way resulting in a dismast – John did confess to forgetting to use super glue.
Stan had trouble with his boat which wouldn’t let the sails out on the run resulting in difficulty steering a straight course. Otherwise a fun morning was had by all.
Today was a special club competition. Congratulations to Oliver winner of the Autumn Phoenix Trophy and Jim as runner up.
