Not as warm or sunny as promised by the BBC weather forecast but a good…
A nice change in the weather compared to the last few weeks. Sun (but not quite tee shirts and shirts yet), and a decentish A rig wind. Well, not the easiest wind to set a course, but OK for the 15 skippers today.
Its not that we are getting old, but a written out course seemed sensible: 7/ start,5p, Ds,4p, 1s, 3s, 8p, 5p , Ds, blues. We had to have a few races with different starts – 8/corner of jetty and 8, inner white. All very simple really.
A flying start from John C, then a range of winners (Phils first win I think and 3nd overall), but David ruled the waves. Max sailed his newly finished yacht to good effect.
