A hot sunny day – with an easterly sort of wind of variable strength (i.e. gusts and holes, but OK for ‘A’ suits) greeted the 15 skippers. John S arrived late and judged that the wind in the car park justified a ‘B’ suit – but unfortunately the wind was generally getting less during the day. We haven’t included JS in the overall results.
A start of 1 / 2 gave a reasonable beat to 6 with no real ‘better’ course to take. The 3,2,6,3,2, finish A/5. There was some close racing – or perhaps close concentration used to ensure positions were not lost (too often!) Consistency as always is key, and having 2 discards was definitely useful today.
Marbleheads on Sunday.
