What a blaster! The sensible skippers came with “C” suits (that is, the
ones who actually could find them in the attic somewhere) because it really
was a “C” suit day. White caps, but not quite spume, made for some
challenging sailing for the “B” suiters. Good long courses lasted no time
at all – I think draining the boats took longer.

Needless to say, there were a number of DNF’s, which makes it a usual time
for the Race Officers to say loudly: PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU MAKE SURE THE
OBSERVERS MARK YOU DOWN AS “DNF” iif in fact YOU DID NOT FINISH.

6 of the 10 races were missing one or more sail numbers on the Observer
Sheet – easily solved by quick responses to an email I sent out. It does
make it difficult for the RO’s to complete the results if there are missing
entries.

Well done to John Male for showing us all how to sail a “C” suit, although
Jim did well to come 3rd in a “B” suit!
